Job Interview

Sometime soon yours truly will be among the couple of hundred people interviewed for the office of Cook County Associate Judge.

The interview itself will be pleasant; the judges' committee that 'screens' the candidates and recommends two finalists for every vacancy is uniformly civil and polite... even friendly.

Unfortunately, I know this because I've done it so many times before.

I don't know which is worse: Feeling more like Lar “America First” Daly with each futile attempt, or the fact that I have to explain the reference to more and more people. (If you really want to know, follow the links.)

I guess everyone should have a hobby, eh?

Good luck, don't give up trying, you will get there in the end.

There have now been 5 murdered prostitutes in England now in 10 days, btw, police are hunting a serial killer, it's quite close to where I live which is why I posted on it from the beginning. Very, very worrying.

I've never heard of Lar. As Ellee mentioned, that serial killer is scaring a lot of people.

i don't know him. but it goes to show the obvious...we don't really get to know people who don't sort of succeed. sad, but reality. at least, he has perseverance, and that is a good thing.

as for your hobby, go for it...you'll never know when you strike real gold, right?

I suppose folks outside Chicago wouldn't necessarily know about Lar Daly... but people here should... if they were my age... or older... but therein lies the problem, see?

Wow, Crumudgeon...Congratulation. Being in the position of possibilities is cause enough for excitement and calibration...how many people can say they've done that much. i shall do a toast to you on this count.
