Ah, sure, that fine broth of a lass, Barb, who brews just a wee bit of that Heads or Tails poteen at some still back in the far reaches of the Blogosphere, has decided to honor the upcoming Feast of St. Patrick by asking us all to wax eloquent on the word "green" today. Such an assignment is all too easy for a lad from County Cook, given the importance of that day in our little community.
Have I laid it on thick enough yet?
Well, no matter. Herewith the fountain in the Daley Plaza. I think it's all dressed up for the upcoming holiday. I hope it's all dressed up for the holiday:
Meanwhile, in hopefully unrelated news, Chicago officials reacted to the recent story about pharmaceuticals and other chemicals being found in drinking water around the nation by saying (1) Chicago's water is safe and (2) no, they haven't tested it.
Gosh, I really hope that's dye.

oh, Poteen.... the worst hangover I've ever had in my life was after a lock down at a pub in Belfast I went to a house party with some friends. Was met with a ladle full of poteen at the door. oooohhh... that was rough.

It sounds like everyone will be green after drinking the Chicago water.
We don't have any fountain were I live.
LOL @ you hope it's decorated! So.. are you going to volunteer and taste the water??? :)
Loved the accent! Also the pic of your radioactive water in Chicago. I wonder where the wise leaders of Chicago get their water from? From what I've been reading, it's not really possible to get away from the chemicals in the water anymore.
Happy St. Pat's
What a great post, and I must admit that I look forward to your introductions each week :-)
green water?! that's cool. it looks like it got flavor!
happy tuesday...
Oh, yes. Everything is safe until it's been tested. LOL What maroons.
This reminds me of Erin Brokovich (excuse the spelling), officials can't cover up about these incidents any more.
..and I hope it's safe dye.
My "green" is up too ::here::
Enjoy your day!
well duh why would they need to test the chicago water if it's safe?
silly curmie.
I had Chicago tap water about a year ago - actually it was in a town south of MDW, whose major industry is wedding receptions - help out here Curmy, as the name is escaping me - wait, Tinley Park. What was I saying? Oh yeah, the water...they say it makes folks lose their focus, but I don't think it's true.
