Laboring in the obscurity he so richly deserves for over a decade now, your crusty correspondent sporadically offers his views on family, law, politics and money. Nothing herein should be taken too seriously: If you look closely, you can almost see the twinkle in Curmudgeon's eye. Or is that a cataract?

Musical Friday -- It Ain't the Meat, It's the Motion
In a comment to Tuesday's post, Barb picked up on a passing remark that I'd made, asking whether I'd made up the song title, "It Ain't the Meat, It's the Motion."
No, I didn't. Exhibit A for the defense is at the top of this post.
I listened to the Maria Muldaur (of "Midnight at the Oasis" fame) version online before posting this one; there was no video of her cover available.

I like Maria Muldaur! And many of the other artists you mentioned on my music post the other day (yes, I know Animal Crackers too).
I love 45s, 50's & 60's music too. It's really summer music for me! You gotta love YouTube!
Curmudgeon -
That song was considered quite risque at that time and was rarely played on the radio.
An older friend had the original 45 and played it at all his parties. It was also a standard at the TKE house at the University of Illinois. Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts had it in their repertoire, but I don't know if they ever recorded it.
The Beach Bum
What a title...I'm surprised it ever got played.
dooo wop!!! snap snap snap snap ..wait for it..clap.
